Ok, let’s see, how to do this +/- style…
[+] G-d lal Chocolate Bar
I purchased this bar in a state of feverish anticipation when MT and I stumbled across it at a kosher gas station mini-mart off the Palisades Parkway. I held off eating it right away as I’ve been sick, and I didn’t want my illness to affect my taste buds, sense of smell, etc. But I couldn’t wait any longer and today devoured the bar after lunch.
As previously described, the bar is divided into segments, but my initial assessment of the different types/colors of chocolate was off. The bar has a layer of caramel on top and a chocolate filling in each segment. The caramel consistency was amazing — not gooey or stringy, but just soft enough — and the filling was smooth and creamy. The segmentation allowed for a lengthy consumption, as it felt perhaps like consuming a number of smaller candy bars instead of one big one.
The best part about it was that the chocolate had the richer taste that you can find in imported chocolates. If you’ve spent any time eating imported chocolate, you’ll know that it’s pretty superior to American chocolate. Why? Who knows. Maybe the FDA mess ours up, or maybe other countries use milk from non-hormoned cows. Whatever the reason, it always tastes better, and this bar had that same quality to it. The entire experience was delicious and recommended.
(The only [-] was that the damn thing was $2.75 — expensive! In fact, if I hadn’t been so stoked to find it because of my history with it, I would have scoffed at this bar for being laughably expensive. Delicious though.)
Nice! So what’s the verdict? Does G-d make good candy bars? He ought to.
union market has candy bars that cost 7 bucks.
god bless park slope.
I gotta try one of these!
glad this worked out – all the more so because it ended up living up to expectations. if anyone (mas…) has a lead on getting these at a more wholesale rate, i’ll be happy to chip in for a case or something.
