from the Bear Party
Joseph Gordon Levitt, aka the kid from 3rd Rock From the Sun, aka the main guy from Brick, aka by all accounts a pretty awesome guy, turned his camera on the paparazzi and made this short film. It's pretty entertaining…
[from the pretty great DVblog]
Maxine and I were just working out some costs, and she quickly converted it to pounds to get a better sense of how much it would be for Brits. Then to get an even better sense of it, she quickly converted the pounds into how many pints it would buy.
making your Monday feel better. here's Mr. Eno:
"If you walk around with the idea that there are some people who are so gifted – they have these wonderful things in their head but you’re not one of them, you’re just a normal sort of person, you could never do anything like that – then you live a different kind of life. You could have another kind of life, where you say, well, I know that things come from nothing very much and start from unpromising beginnings. And I’m an unpromising beginning, and I could start something."
whoa. the ever-incredible today and tomorrow (thanks AK for hipping me to it), posted these a while back, and I can't stop thinking about them/watching them.
Last Thursday I went and saw some stand-up that came highly recommended…it was really good, all the guys were funny, and it worked like a fantastic palate cleanser after the Joe Rogan crap sandwich of 3 weeks ago…this guy was especially great, apparently he was a big favorite of the Mr. Show guys back in the day…this routine is priceless…
I'm posting this here because if you haven't seen Spike Jonze's return to music vids with the new LCD Soundsystem single, you really should. Defines "anarchic". Feels good/scary, which is a nice combo. I'm still out on the single…I didn't think that much of it when I first heard it, but I must say, it keeps getting stuck in my head…
finally, a 3rd party I can get behind. if I vote Bear next election it'll probably do more good than when I voted Nader in 2004…
[made by the ever-lovin PDvis!]
this is guaranteed to make you feel better on your Friday.
as youtube commenter foundmyrosebud01 says:
oh my god, this changes everything
here's every picture in MOMA from last saturday…nice idea, simple but requires dedication…watching it makes me feel good, and calm…I wish there weren't any people in the pics though — that one small detail stops it from being really really good…
