Best ffilm we’ve seen in a wwhile. When I came face to face with Ms. Hathaway at the NIAF dinner in DC back in 2006, I knew that she had some unknown qualities to send to the film world. Who knew that all that porn she did in the 70’s would have been totally forgotten about? AND – the Robyn Hitchcock appearance at the end of the film – especially throwing down ‘America’ from the 1982 release Groovy Decay. What a surprise! But then again, Storefront Hitchcock, a Demme film a bunch of years back really showed why Demme has great taste…. They became great friends….
I loved it too, but that rehearsal dinner scene needed more cutting. Otherwise, I am hoping that Anne Hathaway gets an Oscar nod. But alas, Americans have short-term memories when it comes to Oscar nods and that is why so many good movies are out NOW and the rest of the year generally sucks. Good job Demme.

So good. The first film in forever that I immediately want the soundtrack to…RH was damn good!
