And in a similar vein from yesterday's post, check this…pretty great, big beat, nice dancing/footwork, a bit pop at times, mainly in the chorus, but overall very feelgood…and Big Boi never goes amiss…I predict this may be the jam of the summer…KT's gonna love it…and the video, beautifully filmed, echoes of Cuckoo's Nest, Wes Anderson's font in the opening titles, a great jam of influences, and Janelle appearing throughout like a fully-formed star, but of the kooky variety…

this is so entertaining…there's definitely a "hey I didn't know this was going on" vibe to it…the music is so hard…and I can't really tell what makes one kid better than the other, but somehow, I can kind of tell…check what the kidz is into:

I post this 'cuz I just finished reading Treasure Island. I got this app Stanza for the iphone which lets you read any public domain work that's in Project Gutenberg. It's pretty handy to have something to read on the phone when waiting and you don't have a book, like at the garage or sometimes on the subway, etc. So I was looking through the public domain books and saw Treasure Island, downloaded it and wow was it good! Rollicking great adventure, well told, and with so much pirate canon it was amazing. There's a great pirate toast in there that they make before drinking:
Here's to ourselves and hold your luff / Plenty of prizes and plenty of duff!
Is that where the Simpsons got it from?
Sometimes when things are sort of worked to make me crack up, I get a bit down at how they’re trying too hard…do you know what I mean? Like it can all seem a bit calculated to be blog-bait and get people to forward it around…
this should fall under that category, but it made me laugh out loud, so I guess it’s doing something right…
it's gonna be slim pickens for a little bit yet folks, we're off to the Adairondacks and PA and DC for shooting for the doc, back on Sunday, will resume posting then, don't panic…I will try to keep the pics and good vibes flowing…
meantime, to tide you over here's a picture I made of Tupac's body and Steve Jobs's face.
