I Can’t Get Drunk on One Beer!!!
May 5th, 2009As a kid I remember certain VHS tapes that my sister and I almost wore out from viewing so much:
– The Court Jester recorded off the UK’s Channel 4
– a marathon of Gallagher borrowed from Aunt Helen and Uncle Bill (kids love the watermelon smashing)
– a holiday Space Ghost Coast-to-Coast special
– a marathon of Kids in the Hall taped off a Comedy Central KITH Mother’s Day special
Watching this KITH clip, I was surprised by the fact that I could almost do this entire monolgue from memory…even now there are certain KITH bits that I use in my day-to-day conversations ("Time moves forwards! Not backwards!") that I’m sure people aren’t picking up on, that I’m doing just to amuse myself. This clip is still great.
Is the Canadian plural of beer, "beer"?
I LOVED this! I used this as the intro on the best mix tape I ever made–and I totally taped it by pressing record on my boombox and holding it up to the television. What a classic.

Hell yes. I pepper my converstaions with KITH, still. It’s probably really lame, but I think in my defense, the pathways in my brain have fused that way, maybe? “Straight out of my body and onto your plate”, “Don’t blame the clown, HUSK!”, “I’m in the middle of a big bike race!” – all still in heavy rotation.
nice to see the KITH love is so strong! I have this feeling that much in the same way Monty Pythn’s humor partly came from how British they were, KITH’s humor comes somewhat from being so Canadian…I can’t read that “These are the Daves” quote above without hearing the song, and the Canadian accent is so strong in it…
